Curl gel, strong-hold gel and wet-look gel: write different briefs

AURVONX · 14 September 2026

A gel can target structured hold, curl definition or a glossy wet look. The product family should make that difference visible before the buyer reads the INCI list.

Choose the right product formats

Use a comparison set with controlled doses. For curl trials, record the leave-in product and drying method so a change in gel is not confused with a change in routine.

Understand the ingredients

The community gel-cast question illustrates why instructions matter. A visible cast is not a universal measure of success; the buyer may value softness, definition or volume differently.

Build a useful collection

Discovery set: choose a gel for the intended finish. Curl gel can be evaluated with a small amount of leave-in on separate tests.

Plan your private-label range

Begin with a clear customer need and choose formats with distinct roles. Compare application preferences, packaging and the place of each product in the routine. Your destination market and sales channel should guide the final assortment.
